Villa Bjørge lies in a quiet residential area in Fyllingsdalen, Bergen – just 30 metres from the sea, with wide views over the fjord, a beautiful landscaped garden, a hot tub for 6–8 people and a hand-built stone fireplace for barbecues and long evenings outdoors.
It is our own family home, built in 2006 and extensively renovated in 2024 and 2025. When we travel, we open it to a small number of guests who want the space and privacy of a real home rather than a hotel room – with a hot tub under the open sky, a hand-built stone fireplace and the fjord right below the garden.
Bergen city centre is 10–15 minutes away by car, and Bergen Airport Flesland only about 10 minutes. Hiking trails start at the door.

The experience
The hot tub has room for 6–8 people and sits under a pergola at the front of the house, so you can use it in sunshine and in rain, summer and winter – always with a view of the fjord.
Our hand-built outdoor fireplace has a rugged stone table with seats for at least ten. Light the fire, grill the catch of the day and let the evening run long, with music from the outdoor speakers.
Two living rooms with panoramic windows, a large kitchen with dining area and direct access to two sunny terraces, and a multi-room sound system throughout. Plenty of space to be together – and to be apart.

Swim from the rocks in front of the house, borrow our paddle boards, or walk straight up to Knappenfjellet for the view. Bergen's seven mountains and the fjords are all within easy reach.

The front door has a code lock. We send you the code before you arrive, so you can check in whenever suits you.
Parking for at least six cars right outside. An EV charger can be made available on request. The double garage is normally not part of the stay, but can sometimes be arranged if agreed before arrival.
Our SUP boards can be ready for you on the shore. Just let us know before you arrive.
Fast wifi, a dedicated workspace, a 100" TV in the lower living room and TVs in the upper living room and master bedroom, Netflix and TV 2 Play, and a multi-room sound system inside and on the terrace.
An indoor fireplace, floor heating, two bathrooms – one with a whirlpool bath – and a hot tub that stays warm through the Norwegian winter.

Great house in a great location. The house has a great view and it is perfectly clean. It has everything you need. The neighbourhood consists of villas and is very quiet. We were more than happy!
An absolutely wonderful holiday. We enjoyed the house with its many terraces – not least the hot tub – and wild salmon on the barbecue.

The location
Bergen is a city where nature and culture meet: the UNESCO-listed Bryggen wharf, the fish market, concerts and fine dining – with mountains, waterfalls and fjords just outside the centre.
From Villa Bjørge you are close to it all, yet you return each evening to the quiet of the fjord.
